Our Process

Before our initial consultation, we send through a tailored questionnaire to gain a comprehensive understanding of your project. This allows us to explore everything from construction details to your vision for lighting design, including preferred styles, ambience, and fitting placement.

We review your architectural plans alongside your questionnaire feedback to explore how lighting can enhance the unique spaces and design features of your project. Throughout the process, we carefully consider budget, timeframe, buildability, and automation requirements. Consultations can take place in our office while reviewing plans for a new build, or on-site as we walk through an existing project.

Based on your questionnaire responses and initial consultation, we develop a Preliminary Concept Lighting Plan, Electrical Plan, and curated lighting selections tailored to your project. You will then receive draft lighting and electrical plans, along with a Concept Lighting Design, for review and discussion during the Review Meeting.

During the Review Meeting, we walk through the draft Lighting and Electrical Plans together, along with the Concept Lighting Design, refining any details as needed to ensure the final design is perfectly aligned with your vision and the overall goals of the project.

Final Concept Lighting Design, Electrical Plan, Lighting Options & 3D Render
Once the design has been refined and approved, we finalise all Lighting and Electrical Plans, Concept Lighting Designs, and technical documentation into one comprehensive package ready for implementation. This includes detailed lighting schedules to assist with procurement, technical light fitting documentation for builders and electricians, and advanced 3D modelling to help visualise how the lighting will interact within the space before installation begins.
In addition to the above, we offer stand-alone on-site consultations. With our expertise in lighting design and experience in electrical installation, we have the skills to evaluate the existing lighting conditions in real-time, and provide suggestions on lighting direction, or simply the suitability of new a light fitting. We work on projects of all scale, no job is too small or too large, and we always welcome a challenge.
